While I was in Santa Barbara a couple weekends ago we visited quite a few fun places to eat. On our first night in Santa Barbara we went to Rudy's Mexican Restaurant. We all ordered the Pastor Burrito and headed to the beach for a little sunset picnic. It was the perfect way to end a long day of driving. Friends, the ocean, and delicious food!
The next day after surprising David we went to an ocean cliff and ate tomato soup which we picked up at Safeway and was excellent.
That night David took me to State Street and we wandered in and out of shops and decided to stop for dinner at Sakura Express. I don't remembered what meal we ordered but it was quite yummy!
The next day we went to Backyard Bowls which is basically a restaurant where you order a smoothie in a bowl with granola, honey and a bunch of fresh fruit piled on top! So yummy! I could probably eat there everyday if I lived nearby one! We ordered the Island Bowl (I highly recommend!) and the Backyard Bowl (This one has a complex flavor and is definitely more for the adventurous eater.)

That afternoon we went to this great little coffee shop called Zizzo's Coffee. I ordered their Sicilion Latte (hazelnut and caramel) which was amazing!!!! This coffee shop was airy and comfy and had fresh flowers in little vases scattered all around!
My last night in Santa Barbara David took me out to this wonderfully Indian restaurant called Spice Avenue. I highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere was dark, quiet and relaxing. The service was great and the food was superb. We ordered a lamb dish, a side of rice and a side of wholewheat, unleavened bread.
